Dr. Masson is an avid pilot and has incorporated this skill into his neurosurgical practice.  Neurospine Institute has developed an Aviation Department, which employs a full time pilot and incorporates the use of this pilot and aircrafts into an additional treatment opportunity for out of area patient care.  With this Aviation resource, Dr. Masson has also been able to participate in medically related charitable transporation opportunities.  He has donated the time of the company's pilot, as well as his own expertise and company aircrafts to Angel Flight.  Angel Flight was created by a group of pilots who believe in the benefit of volunteering. The organization strives to keep all aspects of the organization volunteer. It is a non-profit charitable organization of pilots, volunteers, and friends.  They will arrange free air transportation for any legitimate, charitable, medically related need. In addition, NeuroSpine Institute and Dr. Masson are proud supporters of the Arnold Palmer Hospital Foundation, Health Central Hospital Foundation, Childrens Miracle Network, Special Olympics, Humane Society, Edgewood Children's Ranch and Johnny Damon Foundation. 

As the nation was riveted by reports of widespread devastation in Haiti due to the massive earthquake, Dr. Masson knew that he had to use his resources to help in some way.  He realized that Neurospine Institute aircrafts and pilot could be a vital resource to recovery outreach projects in Haiti.  He contacted Bahamas Habitat Flight Missions for Haiti and offered his Aircrafts and Pilot to move supplies from the US and Nassau to Inagua as a staging point.  Inagua is in the Southern Bahamas and is only a short flight over to Haiti.  Neurospine Institute’s pilot was able to participate in flights with the Bahamas Habitat that transported medical supplies to and from the U.S. to the Bahamas and then to Haiti.
Bahamas Habitat is a US-based Christian nonprofit organization supporting housing & disaster relief work in the Bahamas. The Bahamas is so easily accessible by private aircraft. The organization maintains a special focus on partnering with supporters and sponsors that are involved in Aviation as pilots, aircraft owners and aviation industry participants.  www.Bahamashabitat.org
