NeuroSpine Institute begins use of a new stem cell product, NuCell, which is more highly concentrated than previous sources, is derived non controversially from amniotic fluid from live birth sources, and delivers a broader delivery vehicle for wound health and recovery post reconstruction

NeuroSpine Institute, because of increasing demand from out of town patients will begin providing for travel assistance  to facilitate high level care of our out of town patients, to be based in the Lake Buena Vista area of Orlando and treated at Celebration Health Hospital.

May 2009:

Dr. Masson will be updating the iMAS DVD.  8112 Studios and Doug Sonders of Sondersphotography.com  will be filming and editing the 2009 iMAS release for global education of lumbar spine minimally invasive reconstruction techniques.

Dr. Masson to speak at the Synthes minimally invasive surgery forum in Charleston, SC.

April 2009:
NeuroSpine Institute is pleased to Announce new office locations for April 1st 2009 for new patients at Celebration Health and Downtown Satellite on North Magnolia, Orlando, FL.

Dr. Masson has inaugurated the spine surgery service at the Downtown Surgery Center, in Central Orlando.  This completely modernized, high tech, digital outpatient surgical center sets the standard for outpatient surgery in the state of Florida.  Procedures such as minimally invasive lumbar discectomy's, artificial cervical disc for disc herniations, carpal tunnel release surgery and minimally invasive anterior cervical reconstructions will be performed there on the appropriate patients using state of the art image guidance, microsurgery and minimally invasive techniques.

Dr. Masson selected to be an Surgeon Advisory Board member to BauerfeindUSA and will be participating in round table discussions at their first annual Spine Conference in Palm Beach, FL

March 2009:
Dr. Masson to attend the Ao Spine Prodisc-c Users group meeting in Cancun, Mexico where he will serve on a panel to review the success and efficacy of the Prodisc-c artificial disc and the future of next generation artificial cervical disc technology.

Dr. Masson to offer outpatient surgical services at the Downtown Surgery Center

January 25, 2009:
Dr. Masson and NeuroSpine Institute welcome Dr. Peter Passias, MD, PhD who will visit as a travelling fellow.  Dr. Passias is serving as a Spine Fellow at  Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, MA and will be participating in iMAS training and education exercises as well as artificial disc discussions and surgeries.

January 17, 2009:
Dr. Masson served as Faculty for Train the Trainer, an MIS forum at the Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix, AZ where faculty were trained on his iMAS minimally invasive surgical techniques.

January, 2009:
NeuroSpine Institute announces that Tamar Dragon, P.A. will start in a dual role as Surgical P.A. and as iMAS Research Coordinator.  She will be responsible for the database management and clinical follow-up of all iMAS lumbar spine surgery patients.

August, 2008:
Dr. Masson to speak on interpedicular Minimal Access Surgery (iMAS) at "International Minimal Access Spine Surgery Conference", at Cornell Medical Center, New York City.

February 2008:
Dr. Masson released a DVD for Minimally Invasive Surgery Education on behalf of Synthes Spine to be distributed globally.

February 2008:
Dr. Masson performs the first Prodisc-C Artificial Disc replacement procedure in Florida since FDA approved.

February 2008:
South Lake Hospital in Clermont purchases/installs new Zeiss surgical microscope in preparation for NeuroSpine Institute spine surgery service in Clermont beginning March 2008.

January 2008:
Dr. Masson Appointed faculty by Synthes Spine for the FDA approved Prodisc-C Artificial Disc System.

August 2007:
Neurospine Institute was awarded funding for Spine Fellowship in "interpedicular Minimal Access Surgery"(iMAS).

July 2007:
Dr. Masson was appointed faculty to Medtronic Sofamor Danek for FDA approved Prestige Artificial Disc System.

January 2007:
Dr. Masson completes fifth scoliosis surgery using multiple small incisions and long reconstructions for decreased muscle damage and increased recovery post-op. Named to MAST (minimal access surgical technology) deformity expert group for Medtronic/Sofamor Danek.
